Good day, my name is Solomon Kingsley am here to share most of the challenges I came across over the last two weeks at the andela bootcamp, my experience so far has really increased my motive of becoming a world class software developer. I have come across new concepts and technology which I was able to adapt to, I found few of the home sessions challenging, these were problem that makes one think outside the box, even when I get stuck I just have to stay focus believing in myself.

One of the most challenging concepts was TDD i.e. Test Driven Development, I have heard of TDD before but my first day at the andela bootcamp was my first experience to go hands on with it. TDD is a very essential aspect of programming anyone who wants to be a world class software developer needs to be able to adapt to, its such a boring thing to do though it aids 100% quality software development.

Another most challenging concept was developing a simple command line application that consumes a public API, I work with the command line console but I have no idea on how to consume an API with it. Making some research I came across a new technology called Express, and also a node module called Commander. These technologies gave me a full insight on how a command line application consumes an API.

So far I was able to adapt to some technical skills like Using Git regularly, I’ve also been able to learn new technologies in a short time frame. The Andela Bootcamp has really added value to my existence and am willing to improve my skills in becoming a world class developer.
